‘Caught Adrift’ Charmed Wicker Knapsack

This ‘Caught Adrift’ Charmed Wicker Knapsack is a one of one custom piece, inspired by the vibrant city of Portland, Maine. This repurposed wicker backpack has been transformed using a variety of second-hand charms & trinkets (see last photo for its ‘before’). It features hand-linked shells foraged off the shore of Fort Gorges, a removable bag charm fashioned from a vintage perfume bottle affixed with sterling silver hardware, a string of genuine coral interrupted by a vintage pear pendant & a bone carved fish charm, and a row of fishing weights linked across the base to form a sort of fringe 

A brass magnetic clasp has been added for a reinforced closure, along with a wooden ring attached to the posterior portion to allow for hanging.
